'Ting'

In what has been described as a shocking video, Andrew Leach was caught on tape being pinned against the wall, holding his baby son, as an out of control car being driven by an 82-year-old woman who may have suffered a heart attack, crashed into them. Fortunately, the child escaped injury, but his father suffered a broken leg. Mr. Leach's parents were also struck by the car, but all have since recovered.

Leech, later in an interview, said that he was confident in his ability to take the hit, but knew that his son wouldn’t be able to do so.

"I thought if they hit the back of me, I've got at least a chance of, you know, might break a leg or whatever. That's fixable. But if they hit my son, he's not fixable."

When he was asked how he managed to figure it out in a split second,

“I don’t have to be reminded of it. It’s more or less the first thing that comes up in my mind straight away,"

"It just goes ‘ting’, first thing."
