꽤 오래전부터 생각했던 일이다.

녀석이 너무 크기전에, 너무 커버려서 나처럼 용기를 잃기전에,
모르는 누군가에게 먼저 손내밀고 다가가는 법을 알려주고 싶다.

3rd Street Promenade도 좋겠고, 녀석이 좋아하는 Disneyland도 좋겠다.
너도 나도 자기 갈 길 바쁜 도시인들 틈에서,
조금 무시를 당해도 괜찮고, 조금 놀림을 당한다한들 어떻리.
그것조차도 아예 배우지 못하는것 보다는 나을테다.

그럼에도,

아직 세상에 따뜻한 온기가 남아있고, 
더러 넉넉한 마음을 품은 이들도 존재한다는 걸 깨닫게 된다면,
메마른 아스팔트 사이로, 
잡초처럼 끊질긴 사랑 하나쯤은 이땅에 살아남아 있다면,

그까짓 조금 창피한거, 감수 못할일도 아니다.
조그마한 용기를 내는거, 그리 어려운일도 아니다.
